Buy this 1968 Chrysler 300 Convertible and have first option to buy it's twin. You and your spouse could be
driving matching His and Hers convertibles this summer.
This car had a full restoration done in 2000. It has been driven approximately 3000 miles since and has been
stored inside for the last 16 years.
Seats and door panels were completely re-upholstered and had to be hand sewn because interior packages
were not available for this car in 2000. New carpet was installed, a new convertible top with a new glass back
window was installed and a new boot made for the car.
All most every available option in the convertible in 1968 is on this car. It has air conditioning, cruise control,
tilt and telescopic steering, sentinel headlights, twin mirrors, left and right front bucket seats are both 6 way
power seats with headrests, factory four piston caliper disk brakes, dual exhaust, power windows, tinted glass,
power trunk, rear mounted power antenna.
The original engine was not with this car when we bought it. The engine in it now was rebuilt in 1988 and
removed from a 1968 Chrysler 300 2-door hardtop we bought for parts.
It is not the HP engine. It had less than 10,000 miles on the odometer since the engine rebuild.
The 727 automatic was rebuilt in 2001 and has less than 1,000 miles on it now.
The differential is a 3.23-1 sure grip, fully rebuilt at the time of the restoration.
The front brakes have new rotors and pads. The calipers are the original four piston calipers from 1968.
All new front suspension parts were installed when the car was restored as were all rear brake parts, fuel lines,
brake lines and brake hoses included.
The power windows all function but as is with most cars of this vintage with them not being used regularly
they are somewhat stubborn and will need to be lubed or adjusted etc.
As with all cars of this vintage with power options being seldom used some work may be required to get them
all functioning for daily use.
The car has magnum 500 rims, radial T/A tires, 60 series on the back and 75 series on the front.
